(Peice #1) First 100!

Snap! Click and Snap! On June 20 of 2017, I took my first picture with a film camera…

Let’s rewind to a week before, I went to an estate sale and bought a Minolta maximum QTsi for $3. This camera was released around 1999 to 2000, and worth around $575. That’s not even a steal, IT’S A HEIST! I did so much research on photography my brain almost snapped. I searched and searched for the best quality a realized how expensive everything is, so not only was I looking for the best I was also trying to keep a smile on my wallet as my Amazon, eBay and jet carts was filling up and spilling over. finally, I found 4 rolls of film for only $10, it made my heart flutter.

Fast-forward to June 20 of 2017…

click! mm-mm click! The beautiful sound cameras make when they advance to the next exposure. Oh, I love that sound. I do it about 24 more times and three weeks later I am on my second roll and suddenly, I hear the disappointing sound of the roll of film rolling back into its little canister to stay safe, and realize that was fourth and last roll. I packaged them and sent my babies off to get developed and scanned, as I typed this my heart beats faster and faster with every letter pressed and every second that passes by I can’t wait to see my first 100 pictures and I will post them for your viewing the moment they reach my mailbox.

I do film photography because of all the emotions involved in it. from nervousness to wanting the perfect moment before it’s all gone because you only had one shot to capture it. The planning and thought behind of every picture make it worth more than 1000 words, for our thoughts, are an endless chain of letters strung together.

Δ I have a feeling my photos will disappoint me little.

(Clipping #1) Still Waiting …

Despite waiting such a long day, I still haven’t  received my long a waited rolls of film. It’s okay though because now I have more time to set up this website and come up with a good organizing strategy. And I will need a lot of help with my negatives and developed images, I would greatly appreciate any feedback from all of you.

∇ I’ve got a feeling I’ll be getting some good advice!
